One shoot, thirty content assets
Repurposing is a production decision. It cannot be added in the edit.
Why most footage cannot be repurposed
Footage framed for a 16:9 hero film rarely survives a 9:16 crop. Subjects sit too wide, captions collide with the action, and the cut relies on pacing that does not work without sound.
The fix costs nothing on the day: shoot the key beats twice, once wide and once framed for vertical, and record clean interview answers as standalone statements rather than as a conversation.
The asset map we plan against
Before a shoot day is approved, the deliverable list is written. A typical single-day map looks like this.
- 01One hero film, 60 to 90 seconds.
- 02Two to four cutdowns for paid media.
- 03Six to ten vertical reels.
- 04Eight to twelve story frames.
- 05Two carousels built from stills.
- 06One motion-graphic explainer using shoot audio.
- 07A stills set for web and print.
What it takes on set
Three habits, applied consistently. Record every interview answer as a complete sentence. Shoot every set-up in both orientations. Capture thirty seconds of clean ambience and B-roll per location.
Add roughly ninety minutes to the day and the post team can deliver a month of publishing from it.
Typical single-day yield
